Lia was born October 20, 1982, the third of 4 children. She had a normal childhood and grew up to be a very responsible teen. Lia enjoyed children very much and loved to babysit for the neighbours. She had just started a new job as a waitress.
As Lia got to be driving age, she developed a love for the Volkswagen Beetle and would spot them from a distance. She would even go out of her way to park near one and almost drool over it. She wanted one so badly. Ladybugs came a close second and she had started to collect these too.
Lia also collected funky socks. She had the most amazing variety of socks. She had a passion for lip gloss. Every time she went to town, it was almost guaranteed that she would come home with a new flavour. There were about 100 different kinds/flavours in her room.
Lia passed away in the summer of 2000. She would have been 18 on her next birthday. Not a day goes by without thinking of her. Every time I see a ladybug [a real one, not one of them WANNA BEs (orange bugs)], or a Volkswagen Beetle, I have to smile. Lia is sending her love back to us.
