Some Platinum compounds i.e. Cisplatin are
used in medicine for their anti tumor activity. They are
highly toxic to both normal and cancerous cells. Hair concentrations
have not been used to evaluate cell toxicity, but promise
to be of value in the treatment and post treatment care
