Phlebotomists will be on site at Parkwood, Monday to Friday (except designated holidays) from 0700 to 1200 hrs.

Placing orders through PowerChart will schedule the blood specimen collection automatically.

For stat requests, call or page the phlebotomist during regular hours of operation.

Western Counties Wing will have regular collections on Tuesday mornings. Additional collections can be scheduled by ordering tests and scheduling collections during operating hours.

Outside of routine hours of operation for the Phlebotomy Services, clinical staff (nurses or physicians) should collect the specimens. Phlebotomy supplies are available in the laboratory area (room B119).

If the computer system is down, manual LLSG requisitions need to be filled in. It is important that only STAT orders are processed during a downtime.
