By being at CSTAR I was able to learn everyday. I have been able to develop and expand on skills that I don't get exposed to in school. These new tools will enable me to explore other facets of the health care system or further my education in the future. Thank-you again for this invaluable experience and letting me be a part of your amazing team.

"I learned as much as I taught. You don't have many educational oportunities like that these days."
"The facilities and the resources are second to none. Most importanly,
however, is the excellence in team work that transpired during the event. I
was highly impressed with the sustainability of the project, which is key to
foster ideas."
"I would suggest we change the name CSTAR to 5STAR.....it would do the place
justice."

I am really out of adequate words to thank you all for what you have done with the workshop. For the amount of material I packed into this workshop, you made it seem effortless with running. You are really a talented hard working (hardest working) group with phenomenal knowledge with regards to running the program. You were all so intuitive, it was easy for me to ask for what I needed.

CSTAR - Cardiac Robotic Training Course, October 8 & 9, 2008
I would like to thank Dr Kiaii, Dr Chu and all the London team for their
outstanding reception of our Montreal delegation.
The clinical content was well focussed, it completely reached our high
expectations.
The practical aspect of this two days visit was very convenient, and
corresponds to our daily activities.
The great oppurtunity to visit CSTAR was a point of major interest to all
of us. The total integration of surgical teaching to the applications of
new
technology is a mission to the team at Cstar. The summit of our visit was
to get full exposure to the daVinci robotic surgical system in a real human
anatomical model. We were able to appreciate the very intuitive nature of
the robot and practice advanced techniques in mitral valve repair.

I could really see clearly the importance of team work during the VATS course as it emphasized how we learn together and are all working towards the same goal. I now have a greater appreciation of each person's role in caring for the patient. It will also be beneficial for me to have this kind of education for the new hires I precept,"

CSTAR's Otolaryngology Update 2008, May 14, 2008
You should be congratulated on having developed CSTAR as a model 21st century learning and training facility for medical education. The simulation center and anatomy/surgery laboratory are among the best facilities that I've ever seen. They accurately simulate a real OR environment and created a powerful learning environment for both instructors and participants. We were able to quickly transition back and forth between microscopic and endoscopic imaging, and view participant's dissections on large screens so that we could share important findings with the rest of the class. Your staff were tremendously helpful, responsive, and everything ran extremely well, despite the usual changes in the program. It was a great bonus that we were able to host our participants in the actual OR for a live case.
Thank you so much for having me participate in one of your courses. I
hope that you will open CSTAR to host international courses as your
facility is so well equipped to handle state-of-the-art programs.
Thanks for your help and I hope to see you again at another course.
