The day-to-day activities of Canadian Surgical Technologies & Advanced Robotics (CSTAR) involve many people from clinical, research, education and private sector settings. Together, these talented individuals develop, deliver and evaluate CSTAR's ongoing programs and services.

Dr. Davy Cheng

Davy C.H. Cheng MD, MSc, FRCPC, FCAHS

Professor & Chair/Chief Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine

Medical Director, Cardiac Surgery Recovery Unit 

Dr. Cheng is recognized as a world expert in cardiac anesthesia & intensive care.  His research activities are focused on the perioperative outcome and resource utilization in fast track cardiac surgery; blood substitutes and conservation.

 

 

Dr Cherry

Richard Cherry MD, FRCPC
Associate Professor Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine


Rich is presently the medical director of the anesthesia simulation program. His areas of interest include the use of high fidelity patient simulation for undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education

 

Dr. Murray Girotti

Murray Girotti, BSc, MD, FRCSC, FACS

Murray is Medical Director of the LHSC Trauma Program. A Professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Western Ontario, Murray focuses on Trauma, Critical Care and innovative techniques in surgery.

 

Terri MacDougall

Terri MacDougall, BA, BEd
Education Coordinator, Office of Surgical Education, Department of Surgery, UWO Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry

Terri coordinates and co-facilitates the PGY1 Introductory Surgery Course and the Surgery Clerkship Skills Orientation sessions held in CSTAR.
