(LONDON, Ontario) – This year’s New Year’s baby is Alejandro, born four minutes after midnight and weighing 6 lbs 2 oz (2790 g). Baby Alejandro is the son of Anna Dyckwall and Henry Harms.
Baby Alejandro is the first New Year’s baby to be born in LHSC’s new North Tower. LHSC’s obstetrical care unit moved into their brand new space in the Grace Donnelly Women's Health Pavilion at Victoria Hospital in June 2011, as part of the transfer of all obstetrical care services from St. Joseph's Hospital to LHSC.
“We are thrilled to welcome baby Alejandro as the first baby to be born at our new North Tower in 2012,” says Bonnie Adamson, LHSC president and CEO. “We wish baby Alejandro and his family best wishes for a happy and healthy life.”
To welcome the first baby of 2012, the pharmacist/owners of London Shoppers Drug Mart Stores have generously donated a gift basket to baby Alejandro and his family.
Shoppers Drug Mart has proudly served the London area for over 25 years. Through personal advice and counseling and an array of helpful health services, their goalis to help make it easier for patients and their families to manage their health. As a part of their ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of women in their community, London Shoppers Drug Mart Stores are pleased to welcome the first baby of the New Year to London.
LHSC and the London Health Sciences Foundation would like to thank Shoppers Drug Mart for their generous donation of a gift basket.
In addition to the Shoppers Drug Mart gift basket, Children's Health Foundation included a teddy bear and London Health Sciences Foundation contributed a handmade baby blanket for the first-born baby of the New Year.
