JOHN CURTIS
Graduated MD from Dalhousie University, Halifax. Postgraduate training in Halifax and Toronto at the Toronto General Hospital (FRCPC). Further training at MD Anderson Hospital, Houston, where I became staff physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Texas. Major career focus has been at the Princess Margaret Hospital where I was senior physician and Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Toronto. Engaged in pioneering work in management of acute leukemia and human bone marrow transplantation. Laboratory studies included assays of leukemic stem cells and correlation of their properties to patient outcomes. Subsequently head of Systemic Therapy Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. Currently staff physician in systemic therapy program at London Regional Cancer Program and Adjunct Professor of Oncology at University of Western Ontario. Recently appointed Program Director of the Postgraduate Training Program in Medical Oncology. Interests: interface research, clinical trial design and medical education.
