Support Team

You will meet many people at LRCP who are not doctors, nurses, and other health care staff. These people provide services like registration, appointment bookings, and making sure rooms are properly stocked for your visit. These friendly staff are important to your quality of care.

Receptionists and unit clerks are located in the front lobby, in clinics, and in treatment areas. Receptionists are there to help you through your first visit by building your chart. Unit clerks book your treatment and clinic appointments. These people are a good source of information and can help you find your way to various places within LRCP.

In the stretcher bay area of the outpatient clinic, you might meet one of the Orderlies. They help patients, do portering and move patients who are ill or have difficulty walking to clinics and treatment areas. Sometimes they help out in the Operating Room.

Patient Service Attendants or PSAs are the people who open and set up clinics. They make sure the doctors and nurses have the equipment and the supplies they need to help manage your care. PSAs also take specimens to labs, bring blankets to patients in need, and move patients from clinic to clinic.
