PET Scan Study for Cancer Recurrence

Title: Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) for the Diagnosis of Recurrent Cancer: a Feasibility Study. PET in Recurrent Cancer (PETREC)PET/CT Scan Image

PET/CT scans have been shown to help in the diagnosis of recurrent cancer or lymphoma and seems promising. However, it is not clear if PET/CT can offer better results than standard approaches to diagnosis.  The purpose of this study is to learn how a PET/CT scan is used in patients with a potential cancer recurrence.

It is expected that the results of this feasibility study will help to define exactly which patients should be enrolled in a larger clinical trial of PET/CT in future.
