London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is inviting patients, caregivers, and community partners to share their experiences accessing interpretation and translation services through a short community survey from April 20 to 27.

Clear communication between patients and care teams is a critical part of safe, high-quality care. Feedback gathered through this survey will play an important role in shaping the future of interpretation and translation services at LHSC, ensuring they better reflect the needs and experiences of the communities we serve.

“Through the survey, community members can provide feedback on how they use interpretation and translation services when accessing care at LHSC,” said Jill Sangha, Equity Health Lead at LHSC. “It is designed to help the organization better understand how often these services are used, how confident people feel when using them, and what challenges or barriers may exist.”

The survey is open to anyone who has accessed care at LHSC, whether as a patient, family member, caregiver, visitor, or community partner. Participation is encouraged regardless of how often interpretation or translation services have been used, as all perspectives will help build a clearer picture of current experiences and opportunities for improvement.

By listening to the community, LHSC is taking an important step toward strengthening communication, improving patients’ care experiences, and ensuring everyone can access care with confidence.
