For the first time in 17 years, volunteers at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) have a new look!
The updated vests are a brighter, bolder blue and feature "Volunteer" in large letters across the back, making it easier for patients, families, and visitors to quickly identify who's here to lend a helping hand.
"We're so proud of this new look," says Larry Baxter, Vice Chair of LHSC's Volunteer Advisory Council. "It will really help people find us when they need assistance, and it feels great to wear something that reflect the important role we play."
The new design was chosen by members of LHSC's Volunteer Advisory Council and reflects feedback from patients who wanted volunteers to be easier to spot throughout our hospitals.
"Our volunteers are an important part of our hospital community and we so appreciate all they do to support patients, visitors, and staff," adds Karen Connors, Director of Patient Experience and Volunteer Services. "This update makes them more visible and helps ensure patients and visitors get the support they need."
The new uniforms are now being rolled out across all hospital sites. If you see a flash of bright blue, it's one of our amazing volunteers ready to make someone's day a little easier.
