The pharmacy located in the London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) is responsible for preparation of intravenous chemotherapy administered in LRCP, as well as dispensing of oral chemotherapy and supportive medications. The LRCP pharmacy is exclusively for patients of LRCP.
Chemotherapy orders are computer generated in the Centre. Pharmacists in LRCP pharmacy review all chemotherapy orders for appropriateness to ensure that the chemotherapy regimen and dose are correct for each patient.
The pharmacists are also involved in maintaining the various chemotherapy regimens used at LRCP. They provide answers to drug-related questions from nurses and doctors throughout the Centre, coordinate various clinical drug trials operating at the centre, and attend multidisciplinary rounds. Pharmacists also assess any drug interactions and provide counseling to patients on new medications. It is important to bring an up-to-date list of your medications and allergies to every appointment at LRCP.

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours are subject to change on statutory holidays, please call for more information.
