LHSC 150 Exhibit now open at the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (100 Kellogg Lane)

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is pleased to invite staff, physicians, patients, families, and community members to explore a special 150th anniversary exhibit at the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, housed within 100 Kellogg Lane.

“This is a powerful tribute to the dedication of everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 150 years,” says Deborah Wiseman, LHSC 150 Co-Executive Sponsor and Vice President, Medicine, Emergency Services, Critical Care, Clinical Neurological Sciences and Corporate Nursing Executive. “It celebrates not only our history but also the ongoing commitment to the great care, teaching, and research that defines us today.”

This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to reflect on LHSC’s long-standing history, from the opening of London General Hospital in 1875 to becoming a leading centre for acute, specialized, and community care in Southwestern Ontario today. Featuring historic objects, photographs, and stories, the display celebrates the people and moments that have shaped our organization over the past 150 years.

“Marking this milestone with an exhibit at the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame allows us to share our story with the broader community,” adds Dr. Christie MacDonald, LHSC 150 Co-Executive Sponsor, Department Head of Emergency Medicine and Interim Vice Chair, Medical Advisory Committee. “It highlights the collective effort and spirit that continue to move LHSC forward, grounded in our commitment to quality care and meaningful progress.”

Located within the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame at 100 Kellogg Lane, the exhibit is open for self-guided viewing during building hours, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

The exhibit will remain open through December 2025 and is free to explore.
