Land Based Healing | Nature for Healing

The Nature for Healing program aims to enhance patient and family healthcare experience through increased exposure to nature, both inside and outside. Research has shown that connecting with nature positively impacts the healthcare experience of patients and families, and has a variety of mental and emotional health benefits for patients. Through the Nature for Healing program, healthcare providers will be encouraged to prescribe connecting with nature to their patients, either inside or outside, where appropriate. The program will also place a focus on increasing and monitoring the development of indoor and outdoor naturalized areas at Children’s Hospital, so that there are suitable spaces for everyone to connect with nature.
