Children are usually seen in DFC at the following ages or corrected ages:
> 2 weeks post discharge
> 4 months
> 8 months
> 12 months
> 18 months
> 2 years
> 3 years
Not all babies will see us til the age of 3. If they are meeting milestones at 12 months, then they will graduate.
Appointments usually take 60 minutes. While some appointments involve screening or more detailed assessments, that may require 90 minutes to 2 hours. Each child is different, so each appointment is guided by the needs of the child as well as the family. Your child will be seen by a physician, nurse and a physiotherapist and dietitian as necessary after 18 months visit.
