New Construction

The challenge surrounding new construction is being able to design and construct buildings to the highest possible standard for energy efficiency and environmental concern. The best strategy is to reduce the life-cycle cost of the building by considering as much of the energy, maintenance, and environmental costs as possible within the early stage of budgeting.

One way to ensure that these standards are being met is through using the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program. LEED is a checklist of all the considerations that should be given to a building in terms of energy/environment. By including as many of the LEED standards as possible, you can be comfortable with your building design. Buildings can be rated gold, silver and bronze according to how much of the criteria your building meets.
