London Health Sciences Centre welcomes first baby of 2026
LONDON, Ontario – London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is pleased to announce the first baby of the new year has arrived. Baby Bryson was born at 1:28 a.m. and weighed 7lb 1oz. The baby is welcomed by parents Brooklyn Lemieux and Michael Carlsen.

To welcome the first baby of 2026, the London Shoppers Drug Mart owners have generously donated a large gift basket, through the London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) for the baby and their family.
Shoppers Drug Mart has proudly served London and the surrounding region for more than 25 years. As a part of their ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of parents in the community, the pharmacist-owners and staff of Shoppers Drug Mart stores are pleased to welcome the first baby of the new year to London.
LHSC, London Health Sciences Foundation, and Children’s Health Foundation would like to thank the London Shoppers Drug Mart owners for their generous donation of the gift basket.
In addition to the Shoppers Drug Mart gift basket, the Children’s Health Foundation has included a onesie, baby blanket and a teddy bear for the first-born baby of the new year.
LHSC welcomes more than six thousand newborns each year.
