University Hospital Emergency Department

Dedicated to serving London and surrounding areas, University Hospital is the Regional Stroke Centre, Cardiac Care Centre for the Southwestern LIHN, with Neurosurgery in house. 

University Hospital Emergency Department includes 32 stretchers, 20 chair spots and three resuscitation room stretchers. We provide emergency care to over 55,000 patients a year. These patients are cared for by a highly trained interdisciplinary staff including, registered nurses, Emergency Department technicians, communication clerks, emergency physicians, social workers, a geriatric nurse clinician as well as our corporate support staff. 

Victoria Hospital Emergency Department

In addition to emergency care, Victoria Hospital is the Level One Trauma Center in Southwestern Ontario and a Schedule One Mental Health Facility. We are also the regional center for Vascular, Oncology, Women's Health and Burns.

Victoria Hospital Adult Emergency Department consists of 40 stretchers and 20 chair spots, with three trauma bay stretchers. Victoria Hospital sees on average 70,000 patients a year. These patients are cared for by a highly-trained interdisciplinary staff including, Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses, Emergency Department Technicians, Communication Clerks, Emergency Physicians, Social Workers, a Geriatric Nurse Clinician as well as our corporate support staff.

Both Emergency Departments maintain a focus on high-quality health care, contribute to health research and educate our health care providers of tomorrow.
