Personalized Medicine Tests Offered

The Personalized Medicine Clinic offers a variety of genotyping tests and drug level measurements based on a patient’s individual medications. Here are some of the tests we offer:

  • DPYD genotyping for patients taking capecitabine (Xeloda) or 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) chemotherapy
  • Thiopurine methyltransferase (TPMT) & human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genotyping for patients taking azathioprine (Imuran)
  • HLA testing for predicting the risk of antibody formation during infliximab (Remicade) or adalimumab (Humira) therapy
  • Other pharmacogenetic tests that may be helpful for predicting an individual’s metabolism for certain drugs.
    • Pantoprazole (Pantoloc, Tecta), lansoprazole (Prevacid), Rabeprazole (Pariet), Omeprazole (Losec), Esomeprazole (Nexium) and Dexlansoprazole (Dexilant)
    • Clopidogrel (Plavix)
    • Warfarin dosing
    • Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) antidepressants
  • Drug level measurements of select drugs, including:
    • Tamoxifen
    • Apixaban, Dabigatran, Rivaroxaban and Edoxaban
