Our Recruitment Process

Our recruitment practices reflect our mission statement and our commitment to provide a safe and healthy work environment that inspires teamwork, respect for the individual, collaboration and professional development.

Our process provides opportunity for you, the applicant, to learn about LHSC and the position and department you are considering and for us to learn about you, your qualifications and career interests.

Once you’ve applied for a position through our online recruiting system, various steps (as outlined below) are taken to help identify the right area for you if you are selected to continue in the recruitment process.

Personal interview(s)

In-person interviews take place with a member of the Recruitment Services team within People Services. In addition, you will also have an opportunity to meet with the hiring leader and/or interview team.

Many of our areas include a personal tour for candidates under consideration to help them understand the work area and meet some of the team members

References are conducted prior to a job offer being made and in some cases are completed before an interview is scheduled. We ask your permission to speak with current and previous supervisors who can provide us with work-related references.

The fee for this is paid for by the candidate and is not reimbursed by London Health Sciences Centre. You will learn more from your Recruitment & Selection Advisor as you begin our recruitment process.

London Health Sciences Center is committed to the health and safety of all our staff and affiliates. As part of our hiring requirements and a condition of employment, all new staff must have a Health Review completed and sent to Occupational Health for review. All requirements must be met in advance of your first day at LHSC and missing requirements will be communicated to candidates and  will result in a delay in starting your employment.
