The Family Advisory Council (FAC) brings parents/caregivers together with hospital leaders. The goal is to allow families to have direct input and influence on policies, programs, and practices at Children’s Hospital.
The Hospital recognizes and appreciates the stresses and challenges experienced by patients and families. By giving families direct input we can determine how best to support families during their time at Children’s Hospital.
Family members can play a variety of roles such as:
- participating on task forces
- serving as advocates
- speaking at conferences and staff orientations
- participating in quality improvement initiatives
- taking part in parent to parent support opportunities
Our team consists of two key groups, parents and staff.
