Welcome to the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program at Children's Hospital and London Health Sciences Centre. The CF program cares for people with CF and includes two separate clinics serving the paediatric and adult populations.
Our team of health care professionals includes physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, dieticians, genetics counselor, pulmonary function technicians and pharmacists. Our team provides comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
Children or adults who have or are suspected of having cystic fibrosis are referred to the CF program by a physician or in the case of newborns, by the Ontario Newborn Screening Program. The CF program provides a range of services with an emphasis on early diagnosis and intervention to prevent disease complications.
The CF program at LHSC also provides an outreach clinic in Sault Ste. Marie. Health care professionals from Children's Hospital serve patients virtually and patients come to LHSC once a year.
