Research

Research happens when experts gather data, information and statistics to learn more about a problem and look for a solution. Research helps scientists learn more information, understand diseases and to make treatments better.

There are lots of types of research studies: surveys, studies that analyze blood or saliva samples, studies that examine samples of tissue, or even studies to test new medical devices or medications.

The HEAL Program has teams of experts doing research about countless topics. Most of the research is already looking at new questions that are important to the children, youth and families we serve.

You might be asked if you are interested in participating in a research study during your care with the HEAL Program.
