Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PaLM) provides crucial diagnostic support in the care of patients by providing accurate and timely test results to health-care teams across London Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Health Care London. This team of over 560 highly skilled professionals helps support the critical medical decisions for the care of our patients and to their regional partners. Focused on quality driven patient care, the PaLM team members are committed to quality, education and innovation.

This National Medical Laboratory Week (April 9-15), we’re celebrating this team for the work they do in improving patient care by providing patients and clinicians with access to accurate test results.

With over eight million tests performed each year, the PaLM team provides critical insight into important health information for patients guiding diagnoses and treatments. The scope of testing ranges from routine blood work such electrolytes, blood counts and urinalysis to more complex and specialized testing.

To help celebrate the week, the lights in the atrium of Victoria Hospital will be changed to indigo. Please join us in thanking the entire PaLM team for the essential work they do every day.
