CAR-T cell Therapy - Step 4

Step 4: Final clearance appointment to start CAR-T cell therapy

You will have a follow-up appointment with your CAR-T doctor after your T-cells are collected and before your CAR-T cell infusion. This will take place in the cancer center.  

During this appointment:

  • An assessment, including going over your bloodwork and imaging results, will occur to see if it is safe to proceed with the CAR-T cell therapy.
  • You may need to get your blood drawn before the appointment.
  • You will sign your consent for chemotherapy and infusion of your new CAR T-cells.
  • The dates for your chemotherapy, CAR-T cell infusion, and hospital admission will be confirmed.
