Impact educates teens about the social, economic and health outcomes of risk-taking behaviours. Presentations include firsthand accounts and outcomes of risk-taking behaviour and provide students with the tools necessary to make informed decisions when faced with a challenge.
The aim is to reduce injury and death in alcohol, drug and risk-related crashes and incidents.
Did You Know?
Impact was created to allow students to experience the potential outcomes of life-altering decisions. Supporting this, the Impact website provides a credible place for youth to access more information about a variety of topics including distracted driving, impaired driving, drugs, alcohol and general risk-taking behaviours. The content is continually adapted to meet the changing needs of the London and surrounding area youth.
Impact can be delivered in multiple locations:
School: Students are educated about the social, economic and health outcomes of risk-taking behaviours. This includes first-hand accounts of risk-taking and provides students with the necessary tools to make informed decisions.
Virtual: As of October 2020, Impact offers a virtual presentation option, expanding the geographical reach of the program and to meet needs of a changing learning environment.
