LONDON, Ont. - London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St. Joseph’s Health Care London (St. Joseph’s) are launching their new research institutes on Wed., October 16 as the organizations aim to grow health research and improve patient care locally and around the world. The day will include an unveiling of each hospital's research institute and a public showcase that offers the opportunity to interact with scientists who are advancing groundbreaking discoveries in health care.
Media are invited to attend this event for a rare insiders’ view of research in action – from studies aiming to predict and prevent dementia to those allowing scientists to diagnose rare diseases for the first time.
Guided open houses across LHSC and St. Joseph’s hospitals will take place throughout the day.
