Research

London Health Sciences Centre’s EMG Lab (located at University Hospital) has been a nationally recognized teaching and training centre in EMG for residents and fellows for over 20 years.

Electromyographers from all over the world have completed their EMG and/or Neuromuscular training under the watchful eye of experienced physicians and technologists in the LHSC EMG lab, all of whom are experts and well published in the field of EMG and neuromuscular disease.

Over 3500 patients are studied in the EMG laboratory each year with a full variety of studies ranging from simple nerve conduction studies to complex studies of neuromuscular transmission or the central motor pathways. Research projects including multi-centre trials, multi-disciplinary projects and case reports provide residents and fellows opportunities to further their academic careers.
