The generosity of our community helps the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at University Hospital (UH) remain on the leading edge of medical advances and live its mission of excellence in patient care, research and education.
The ICU at UH takes initiative to improve patient safety and health outcomes through participation in Safer Healthcare Now!, the Ministry of Health's Critical Care Strategy, the Canadian Critical Care Collaborative, and the Critical Care Research Network (CCRNet).
Government funding is not enough to meet all our needs in advancing healthcare. Your donations fund innovative equipment, research, education and enhanced patient care - they are not used for the administration or operational expenses of our Hospital. Simply put, donor dollars make our Hospital great.
Many people give to London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) to say thank you for the wonderful treatment they, or the people they love, have received at our Hospital. Others give because they want to know that outstanding healthcare will be available when needed.
There are many ways to give to the ICU at UH through London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF):
- Make a cash gift
- Donate stocks, bonds or other securities
- Make a planned gift through your Will or life insurance
- Become a corporate sponsor of one of our fundraising events
- Organize or participate in a fundraising event
Past donations to the ICU at UH have been used to buy televisions for use in patient rooms, comfortable furnishings for the family rooms and other amenities used to improve patient and family care and quality of life.
