Patients that have suspected Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or have already been diagnosed with ALS can be referred to our ALS clinic for confirmation of the diagnosis, genetic testing, pharmacological management, and multidisciplinary care. Patients will usually be seen in consultation first, often with an EMG coordinated on the same day. Other diagnostic tests such as imaging or bloodwork may be ordered to exclude other diagnostic considerations. If a diagnosis of ALS is confirmed, the patient will be followed in our multidisciplinary ALS clinic.
