Code Orange activated at London Health Sciences Centre earlier this morning

Earlier this morning London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) activated a Code Orange – ENS Level 1 as a result of seven patients arriving to hospital following a motor vehicle collision at a shopping centre in the area of Gainsborough Road and Wonderland Road North in London.  The Code Orange has since been cleared.

Our Emergency Departments (EDs) at Victoria, University and Children’s Hospitals are prepared and continue to support patient care and flow.

Please be advised that those arriving at our ED may experience longer than normal wait times. The most critical patients will be seen first. In the event of a medical emergency, dial 911 or go to an ED.

Alternate health care options include:

  • Your family doctor, nurse practitioner or their on-call service
  • A walk-in clinic
  • The Urgent Care Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Care London
  • Virtual Urgent Care
