(LONDON, Ontario) – London Health Sciences Centre is pleased to host the 6th annual ‘Learning to Live with Heart Failure’ public education event.
Approximately 400,000 Canadians are currently living with heart failure. Being aware of the signs and symptoms of the disease is the first step in protecting yourself from a condition that can seriously impact health and quality of life.
“I want people to understand that despite having a heart condition, you can still do meaningful things in your life,” says Audrey Rafuse, an LHSC outpatient who will be speaking at the public seminar.
Rafuse will be joined by Dr. Malcolm Arnold, cardiologist, LHSC, as well as other health professionals to provide the public with the opportunity to learn more about living with heart failure and the things they can do to improve their quality of life.
