Robotic Cardiac first performed at LHSC

(LONDON, Ontario) – In a world first, surgeons at London Health Sciences Centre’s University Hospital have performed a robotic aortic valve replacement on a patient suffering from aortic stenosis – a narrowing of the aortic valve caused by calcification.

Media are invited to interview surgeon Dr. Bob Kiaii and the first patient to receive this life-changing procedure performed with the assistance of the da Vinci® surgical system.
