First paediatric robot-assisted neurosurgery performed in Ontario at Children’s Hospital at LHSC

(LONDON, Ontario) – In an Ontario-first, the Paediatric Epilepsy Program at Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) has performed a robot-assisted stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) procedure on a paediatric patient who had been experiencing epileptic seizure activity.

Media are invited to interview paediatric neurologist and Medical Director of the Paediatric Epilepsy Program Dr. Andrea Andrade, the first patient who received this life-changing neurosurgical procedure, and his mother.
