Flags lowered to half-mast for National Day of Observance for COVID-19

March 11, 2021

The Canadian flags at our organization will be lowered to half-mast today to honor the inaugural National Day of Observance for COVID-19.

One year ago, COVID-19 was officially declared a pandemic. Today, we join our Prime Minister and the many others across our country and around the globe in recognizing all who have been affected by the pandemic and honouring every individual who lost their life to this disease.

Our organization wishes to express our collective grief for the tremendous loss experienced over this past year, while also acknowledging that we stand among the billions of people worldwide who are looking forward with optimism and hope for a safer future and better days ahead.
