LONDON, Ontario – The first baby of the New Year is Baby Girl Gabriel (name to be determined), born at 12:30 a.m. and weighing 9lbs 6oz. Baby is welcomed by mom Alanna Gilmour and dad Joe Gabriel.

To welcome the first baby of 2021, the pharmacist-owners of London and area Shoppers Drug Mart stores have generously donated a large gift basket for mom and baby.

Shoppers Drug Mart has proudly served London and the surrounding region for more than 25 years. As a part of their ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of women in their community, the pharmacist-owners and staff of Shoppers Drug Mart stores are pleased to welcome the first baby of the New Year to London.

London Health Sciences Centre and London Health Sciences Foundation would like to thank Shoppers Drug Mart for their generous donation of the gift basket.

In addition to the Shoppers Drug Mart gift basket, Children's Health Foundation included a teddy bear, and London Health Sciences Foundation contributed a handcrafted baby blanket for the first-born baby of the New Year.

LHSC welcomes over 6,000 newborns each year.
