(LONDON, Ontario) – Scissors will be flying at London Health Sciences Centre on Monday as sixteen staff and supporters of the London Regional Cancer Program say goodbye to their long locks in support of cancer patients. Fifteen staff will donate their hair to two organizations which create wigs for cancer patients. The sixteenth staff member, whose hair is too short to donate, will be shaving her head entirely to show her support for the event, and for patients. The “Cuts for Cancer” team will also be presenting a cash donation to representatives from the Canadian Cancer Society to fund programs which support patients in treatment at LRCP and surrounding cancer centres.
