Postpartum Care Unit

Nurses in the Postpartum Care Unit (4th floor, Zone C) will help you care for yourself and your baby to prepare for transitioning home.  Our family-centred care approach encourages parents to actively participate in newborn care to support this learning.  As a technique for soothing/comfort we promote skin-to-skin care which also helps establish a quality bond with your baby and assists with breastfeeding.
