The Lazarovits Chair in Immunobiology and Transplantation, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Alp Sener, MD, PhD, FRCSC, has been named the inaugural Andrew Lazarovits Chair in Immunobiology and Transplantation at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, and London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), effective March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2029.
The research chair is funded by Lawson Health Research Institute and London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), and matched by Western University. The chair will support expanding research capacity and provide leadership between the hospital and university to build on the legacy of Dr. Andrew Lazarovits’ work.
The inaugural chair, Dr. Sener, will continue as the head of urology at Schulich Medicine, LHSC and St. Joseph’s Health Care London, and as a surgeon and researcher with LHSC’s Multi-Organ Transplant Program.
