The 2nd Annual Paediatric SEEG Conference

Date: November 1-3, 2024
Location: Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre, 551 Windermere Road, London, Ontario, Canada N5X 2T1

Join the 2nd Annual Stereo-EEG course to gain hands-on experience and cultivate your skills. The conference will include internationally renowned speakers and experienced faculty that will instruct you in solving theoretical cases. Specialist with diverse training, levels of knowledge and experience will assist participants in increasing their knowledge about paediatric stereo-EEG.

Topics of discussion will include identifying abnormalities, challenges and advantages of SEEG use and new technology. Special focus will be on malformation of cortical development and epilepsy.

Each case will be discussed in two phases (practical sessions). In Phase 1, participants receive information from non-invasive investigations like MRI, PET, neuropsychology, seizure semiology and the LTM-EEG data of the patients. They will read EEGs, watch seizures and then will discuss possible implantations side and design their own implantation scheme. In Phase 2, participants will get the chance to read the SEEG traces from the same patients and will develop a resection scheme.

Paediatric and adult practitioners are invited to attend.
