South West Ontario Region

The south west region of Ontario has seen steady growth over the past decade. In 2011, just over 925,000 people called the region home. Today, almost 1.25 million people live in the area. This represents a 35 per cent increase over 14 years, showing a vibrant and expanding community. With more people, and an aging population, it is important that services also expand and improve to continue to deliver high quality, effective care for the best possible health outcomes for everyone, when and where they need it. 

Population statistics

Oncology Surgeries in the South West Region

Verspeeten Activity

The London Regional Cancer Program was renamed the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre in April 2024. 

The Verspeeten is a busy, thriving hub for cancer services, with last years’ visits including:
