UPCOMING PARKING DISRUPTIONS: August 24 to 27 at University Hospital

University Hospital

  • Perth Drive Complex Outdoor parking lot (Parking lot 2).

    Tree trimming activities will be coordinated with Western University and Davey Tree along the perimeters of the Perth Drive Complex, Outdoor Parking lot (East parking lot 2). Parking will be restricted near the work areas and will change daily. Effected parking spots will be clearly marked. Please exercise caution when walking or driving near work areas.

    1. The most northern section of the lot is closed August 24.
    2. The most eastern section of the lot is closed August 25 and 26.
    3. The most southern section of the lot is closed August 27.

LHSC owns four multi-level parking garages, two at each hospital and numerous surface lots with over 7,000 parking spots.

Parking Offices

Parking Prices

LHSC complies with the Ministry of Long-Term Care parking directives to set parking prices.

Parking at LHSC costs:

  • $4 for the first hour
  • $2 for each consecutive half-hour, up to a maximum daily cost of $12
Parking Passes

Parking Passes are also available for longer-term parking and are valid for one year from the date of purchase:

  • 24-hour pass with in-and-out privileges: $14
  • 7 days: $45
  • 14 days: $65
  • 30 days: $75

The HPASS — a preloaded multi-day card — gives patients and frequent visitors a discounted parking rate and allows for “in-and-out” privileges within a 24-hour time period. To learn more, visit the HPASS website. 

Payment Methods

Payments can be made at pay stations, exits or the Parking Office. Accepted payment methods include:

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • Cash
  • American Express

Parking lot exits now offer quick and easy payment options:

  • You can make payments directly at the gate with just a tap using your debit/credit card or mobile wallet.
  • Visitors can now download the Parkedin App from both the Apple and Google stores, providing another quick and hassle-free method for paying for parking.

Important Reminder: Secure Your Valuables When Visiting LHSC Properties

LHSC parking lots are regularly patrolled by security. To contact security, please call 519-685-8500 extension 52281.

All vehicles must be parked in designated spaces only. Unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing or ticketing at the owner's expense.

Please note: vehicles are parked at your own risk. LHSC is not responsible for any damage to or loss of vehicles and/or personal belongings.

To help keep our community safe, we want to remind all patients and visitors at LHSC locations to take precautions with their valuables. Vehicle break-ins are often caused by items left in plain sight such as wallets, purses, laptops, and backpacks.

Please remember to either leave valuables at home or securely lock them out of sight inside your vehicle before visiting any LHSC property. By taking these simple steps, you can help reduce and prevent theft in our parking areas.

Parking Revenue

LHSC owns all parking assets, including structures and equipment such as gates and pay-on-foot machines. Precise ParkLink is LHSC’s service provider and manages our parking operations.

Parking fees first pay for costs incurred in parking operations, such as labour, maintenance, utilities, and capitol for the facilities themselves.

All additional parking revenues are reinvested in hospital operations and clinical capitol.
